Well I can’t believe the move is here! The moving company comes first thing tomorrow morning to pick up all of my stuff! I’ll be so busy packing this afternoon, but wanted to take a moment to kind of reflect on my last two years here in Halifax, NS. It is SUCH a gorgeous city, with super friendly people that I’m going to miss. There are so many things I love here and I want to give some of them a shoutout:

The Halifax Harbour. I’ve spent alot of time wandering down here, just enjoying the sound and smell of the water, and all of the little shops and booths that line the harbour. Its beautiful. I’m going to miss seeing Theodore Tugboat and eating deep fried beaver tails with extra icing. Le sigh.

The lobster. Best in the world. Going to miss getting it so fresh, literally right off the boat for dirt cheap. Boo :( *prepares wallet for $9.99 a lb prices*

Bubba Ray’s sports bar. Best wings in town, and a great place to hang out, even though I don’t watch sports. If any of the bartenders or servers from Bubba Rays are reading this- you guys are fucking awsome. Great times there, going to miss playing pinball and eating shit tons of wings.

Peggy’s Çove. One of the most beautiful places in Canada – and a place that has been a source of inspiration and peace. I’ve spent many hours just sitting on the rocks and thinking about my life and where the hell its going. There’s something soothing about the sound of waves crashing against the rocks…and the smell of ocean is something I’m going to really miss.

Indian buffet palace in Bayers Lake. This is a tiny little place in a tiny little strip mall on a random back street. Its owned by an Indian family, and when you walk in you can tell that they’re really trying to just make it in the restaurant business. Their 12 year old son does alot of the waiting tables, and the food is cooked by family members. I’ve been to alot of Indian restaurants, and this is the only place where I feel like I’m eating at “moms”. (not MY mom’s obviously, but you can tell the food is made with love) Its one of those random places kinda off the grid that kinda creep you out because they aren’t high budget, and the restaurant is small and cafeteria style…but the food just screams authentic. Its amazing.

The Landings Surgical Centre, and more specifically, Dr. Bendor-Samuel and his team. He performed my breast augmentation last fall and his work changed my life. Thats the one thing I can take back from my time here, is newfound confidence and pride in my body. That itself is priceless and I owe a huge thank you to him and his team for not only giving me the most amazing set of bewbies, but for taking great care of me. Dr. Bendor-Samuel- you’ve changed my life! Keep up the great work!

The Esquire Restaurant. Best chowder EVER. (seriously, its been voted best chowder in the province like a bazillion times over). I’ve spent MANY rainy days inside this place being nurtured by their lobster chowder. Its healing. Nuff said.

Point Pleasant Park. This is where I took my dogs for their walks in the summertime. Its a huge park on the water, and its known for being the place to bring your pooches. Abbie and Bella have had many many great times hanging out with other dogs here and I’m going to miss this place. Its not the most gorgeous of parks because it unfortunately got hit VERY hard by Hurricane Juan several years back (the forestry still hasn’t recovered) but its still a great place nonetheless.

Pete’s Frootique is the market I go to every week and I’m so sad that I won’t have access to it anymore :( This is the one place I’m REALLY going to miss because their level of food quality is unlike anywhere else I’ve been. There isn’t anywhere like it in my new city and I’m fighting depression about never getting to browse the aisles of import foods, or being able to buy the freshest produce ever. *cries*

As you can see, there are a ton of things I’m going to be missing :( Its sad to leave…but I’m excited for this new chapter in my life! Once all the stress is gone, and I can relax in my new place, I’m sure I’ll be at peace with my decision to move back closer to family- after all, family is the most important thing of all right? I want to thank everyone who’s supported me through this hectic time, with your kind words, emails, those who’ve sent giftcards to help with purchasing furniture and household items that I so greatly need, and buying home items off my wishlist. I’m starting my life over, literally shedding away the things I own just to make this whole thing happen and while starting fresh is scary, its also nice to know that my friends have my back :)

Last nite was the raffle drawing and wow- it was crazy! It took awhile because there were so many entries, but we got it all done and I want to say congrats to all of the winners, especially the grand prize winner- Asmodan1989!!! Everyones prizes will be made and sent after this weekend once I’ve gotten to my new place :) It was very sad to see Spexyville get torn down, but also theraputic…it was enormous! lol.

Well I should end this blog and get my hiney in gear – packing, cleaning and errands are going to be taking up all of my day. I’ll be checking my twitter from time to time so say hi if you’d like :) xoxoxo

First off I want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the fundraiser on Monday! It was a crazy day and in the end, we surpassed my original goal by over $700! The final total for the day was $1747.70USD!!! Woooo!!! After currency conversion, it worked out to being $1723.69CDN that went to the Canadian Red Cross today :) I screencapped the donation and emails so you guys can see exactly where all of your tokens went to! (I had to make two separate donations because my credit card only has a $1500 limit on it lol) :) Click twice on the pics to enlarge!

First donation for $1500:

Second donation for $223.69:

For total donation of $1723.69 :) :)

Again, thank you to everyone who came out, showed their support and enthusiasm to the cause and donated their tokens! Hopefully we’ve made a difference in the lives of those who survived the earthquake and tsunami…and hopefully other girls follow suit and do their part! Yes MFC girls, I’m looking at you!! Just imagine the money we could raise as a whole, if every one of us took one day of earnings and gave it to charity! We lead blessed lives, always important to give back! :)

As everyone is aware, Japan suffered an 8.9 magnitude earthquake on 03/11/2011. Following the earthquake, the country was hit by a massive tsunami which is still taking homes, farms, and lives with it. We, the rest of the world, are not rendered useless, and its up to us to do what we can to help the people of Japan in any way possible. So, on Monday, March 14th, the room of SpexyAshleigh will be holding a day-long fundraiser to raise funds for the Cdn. Red Cross. (www.redcross.ca) All funds raised will go directly to those who need it most in Japan. Results & totals of the funds raised, as well as proof of donation will be posted on my blog, SpexyAshleigh.com following the fundraiser. While MFC is a great place to perv, it also holds an adult community unlike any other on the web and I know that we can all join together to do something positive for those who have lost everything.

Events for March 14th Fundraiser:

Raffle- One day raffle, entries accepted all day and night during the 14th. Raffle
will be drawn at the end of the day and winner will recieve a brand new video and
pic set AND 10 raffle tickets for the March raffle. Cost: 50tks to enter.

Brand new vid and picset: 15 minute long striptease and oil video + 50 sexy pics
will be up for grabs! All 250tk tip will recieve this brand new set!

All 1000tk + tips will recieve a brand new, exclusive SpexyAshleigh desktop
wallpaper! Several to choose from, in all screen resolutions- collect them all!

March Raffle: During the fundraiser, ALL tips given to purchase March raffle tix
will recieve DOUBLE the raffle entries. Ie. 200tks gets 2 entries (instead of 1),
500tks gets 6 entries (instead of 3) and 1000tks will get 2 mansions (instead of 1)

In January 2010, we were able to raise $720.75 for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. In June 2010, we were able to raise $906 to help the animals affected by the Gulf oil spill. And now, in March 2011, we’ll meet again and hopefully double the funds raised in past fundraisers. I know we can do it. I’ll do my part, and I pray you all will come out and do yours, whether its donating tokens, buying raffle tickets or even just being there to offer your support for this cause. <3

I’m bored, and my niece sent this to me to add to Facebook…so I thought I’d fill it out and put it on here too.

Survivor Rant

Gahhh! Noooooo!

I just finished watching last nite’s episode of Survivor (one of my guilty pleasures, but I honestly only ever watch the show when the season features Russell Hantz.) And omg noooo! Russell got voted out, and is now headed to Redemption Island! Now, if you are reading this and aren’t a Survivor fan, then you have no idea wtf I’m talking about. But if you DO watch Survivor, you’ll know how crappy this is! Especially if you are a Russell Fan!! I mean, the guy is genius. He IS Survivor. I normally don’t like the villain, but in this case, I FREAKING EFFING ZOMG ADORE HIM. He’s not brilliant at challenges either, especially when faced against hunky, surfer dude Matt. So I’m not optimistic we’ll see him after next weeks episode :( Le sigh.

Sorry, just had to mini rant. GO TEAM RUSSELL!
