Well I can’t believe the move is here! The moving company comes first thing tomorrow morning to pick up all of my stuff! I’ll be so busy packing this afternoon, but wanted to take a moment to kind of reflect on my last two years here in Halifax, NS. It is SUCH a gorgeous city, with super friendly people that I’m going to miss. There are so many things I love here and I want to give some of them a shoutout:
The Halifax Harbour. I’ve spent alot of time wandering down here, just enjoying the sound and smell of the water, and all of the little shops and booths that line the harbour. Its beautiful. I’m going to miss seeing Theodore Tugboat and eating deep fried beaver tails with extra icing. Le sigh.

The lobster. Best in the world. Going to miss getting it so fresh, literally right off the boat for dirt cheap. Boo
*prepares wallet for $9.99 a lb prices*

Bubba Ray’s sports bar. Best wings in town, and a great place to hang out, even though I don’t watch sports. If any of the bartenders or servers from Bubba Rays are reading this- you guys are fucking awsome. Great times there, going to miss playing pinball and eating shit tons of wings.

Peggy’s Çove. One of the most beautiful places in Canada – and a place that has been a source of inspiration and peace. I’ve spent many hours just sitting on the rocks and thinking about my life and where the hell its going. There’s something soothing about the sound of waves crashing against the rocks…and the smell of ocean is something I’m going to really miss.

Indian buffet palace in Bayers Lake. This is a tiny little place in a tiny little strip mall on a random back street. Its owned by an Indian family, and when you walk in you can tell that they’re really trying to just make it in the restaurant business. Their 12 year old son does alot of the waiting tables, and the food is cooked by family members. I’ve been to alot of Indian restaurants, and this is the only place where I feel like I’m eating at “moms”. (not MY mom’s obviously, but you can tell the food is made with love) Its one of those random places kinda off the grid that kinda creep you out because they aren’t high budget, and the restaurant is small and cafeteria style…but the food just screams authentic. Its amazing.

The Landings Surgical Centre, and more specifically, Dr. Bendor-Samuel and his team. He performed my breast augmentation last fall and his work changed my life. Thats the one thing I can take back from my time here, is newfound confidence and pride in my body. That itself is priceless and I owe a huge thank you to him and his team for not only giving me the most amazing set of bewbies, but for taking great care of me. Dr. Bendor-Samuel- you’ve changed my life! Keep up the great work!

The Esquire Restaurant. Best chowder EVER. (seriously, its been voted best chowder in the province like a bazillion times over). I’ve spent MANY rainy days inside this place being nurtured by their lobster chowder. Its healing. Nuff said.

Point Pleasant Park. This is where I took my dogs for their walks in the summertime. Its a huge park on the water, and its known for being the place to bring your pooches. Abbie and Bella have had many many great times hanging out with other dogs here and I’m going to miss this place. Its not the most gorgeous of parks because it unfortunately got hit VERY hard by Hurricane Juan several years back (the forestry still hasn’t recovered) but its still a great place nonetheless.

Pete’s Frootique is the market I go to every week and I’m so sad that I won’t have access to it anymore
This is the one place I’m REALLY going to miss because their level of food quality is unlike anywhere else I’ve been. There isn’t anywhere like it in my new city and I’m fighting depression about never getting to browse the aisles of import foods, or being able to buy the freshest produce ever. *cries*

As you can see, there are a ton of things I’m going to be missing
Its sad to leave…but I’m excited for this new chapter in my life! Once all the stress is gone, and I can relax in my new place, I’m sure I’ll be at peace with my decision to move back closer to family- after all, family is the most important thing of all right? I want to thank everyone who’s supported me through this hectic time, with your kind words, emails, those who’ve sent giftcards to help with purchasing furniture and household items that I so greatly need, and buying home items off my wishlist. I’m starting my life over, literally shedding away the things I own just to make this whole thing happen and while starting fresh is scary, its also nice to know that my friends have my back
Last nite was the raffle drawing and wow- it was crazy! It took awhile because there were so many entries, but we got it all done and I want to say congrats to all of the winners, especially the grand prize winner- Asmodan1989!!! Everyones prizes will be made and sent after this weekend once I’ve gotten to my new place
It was very sad to see Spexyville get torn down, but also theraputic…it was enormous! lol.
Well I should end this blog and get my hiney in gear – packing, cleaning and errands are going to be taking up all of my day. I’ll be checking my twitter from time to time so say hi if you’d like
